The goal was to increase to sales of Norton Antivirus in India and APAC Region with the help of display banners and email marketing

Overview

Norton Antivirus is a popular antivirus software used across the world by millions of people. The company offers services in various categories in the cyber security domain. They have various plans, including Norton Antivirus Plus, Norton 360 Standard, Norton 360 Deluxe (for 3 devices), and Norton 360 Deluxe (for 5 devices). Each of these plans is available for purchase with either a one-year subscription or two-year subscription.

Norton wanted to boost the sales of their antivirus software in India and APAC Region. They also wanted the prime focus on the sale of high-ticket size products. In addition to that, they wanted the users/buyers to activate their licenses while encouraging repeat orders. Another prime objective of their campaign was to increase brand awareness and visibility.

Goals

Before the execution of the promotional campaign, we have the following goals in mind:

  • The client wanted to increase the sales of their antivirus products.
  • They also wanted more high-valued products should be sold.
  • Activation of licenses and repeat orders was another objective
  • The campaign also needs to focus on brand visibility and awareness amongst the users.
  • Better performance than the key competitors was to be achieved.

Norton Antivirus software’s market awareness and visibility grew after the promotional campaign. Throughout the promotion, 21000 sales worth 4 crore rupees were made by the users.

Approach

We took the following path to increase the sales of Norton Antivirus in India and APAC Region:

  • Since Norton wanted to increase brand awareness and visibility in the market, we took the help of programmatic display advertising to put the Norton ads on digital platforms smartly.
  • To enhance the sales of the antivirus software, we shot email marketing campaigns to target the customers. Targeting was done based on geographic location, age, occupation, and interests. It helped in getting better ROI from our email marketing campaign.
  • The whole campaign was in execution from January 2020 to July 2020.
  • Emailers were also used to make users activate their licenses and encourage them for the repeat order. Engaging and attractive CTA (call-to-action) buttons were used to attract the users through emails.
  • Great focus was on the promotion of high-ticket size products so that the client gets better profits and better ROI through this campaign.
Results
  • With the help of programmatic display advertising and display banners, we were able to create better brand awareness of Norton Antivirus software in the market.
  • Throughout the promotion, we were able to provide 21000 Norton Antivirus sales to the client.
  • In monetary terms, we were able to provide a profit of 4 crore rupees to the client through our campaign. All of these deliveries were given to the client in the first 7 months of 2020, i.e., from January to July.
